Shaun Cavalliere and Virginia Cavalliere heard an audible boom when they opened their windows on the Gateway Boulevard in their home Sunday afternoon. Then, seconds later, the whole world broke out.

Within moments, their living room had been filled with dust after a powerful gustnado tore through the front yard and swept over the desert. The wind blew everything in its path into the air. This included their children’s play set which was destroyed.
Shaun pointed to his backyard. “The aluminum table that I had placed there got sucked up and blown away.”
The couple were able to record a video with Ringtone cameras of the storm in action because they were confined inside their house when the gustnado passed.
Virginia described the garage of her neighbor as having been “lifted off the ground by one side” due to the damage caused by wind. The heavy metal door was also buckled.
Shaun pointed out storm damage as he walked along the yard. For example, the broken lattice flew into the air and smashed against the car’s side like a matchstick in the wind. The yard was littered with hundreds of pomegranates and figs that had been ripped from the branches.
The Cavallieres’ special needs children Khodie Angela and Noah Cavalliere lived at the Cavalliere home.
Khodie (11 years old) was looking at his favorite playground equipment when he said: “I saw that white big thing flying in the air. “.
Angela, a 21-year-old woman, said that when the storm started she too was scared as her walls began shaking.
When I stood up my legs began to shake, so I assumed it was me. Angela said, “I looked at the television and saw that it was also shaking. I then knew it was just me.”
Virginia’s Autistic Children were particularly traumatized by the storm.
Angela was having a complete meltdown and the children clung on to me.

On her 10 acre property she runs a Therapeutic Horses Business, with 40 horses as well as other animals. After destroying a large oak tree in the front yard of her home, the windstorm flipped a metal outhouse over and headed directly for the stables where the horses had spent decades.
It picked up some shelters and peeled off some roofs. Coffee stated that it looked as if a tornado would be coming.
Coffee’s horse was running all over the place, trying to calm himself down, after the stall was destroyed. Coffee saw the roof of a stall being ripped off and then thrown into the air while she was trying to catch her stallion.
Coffee says that when her neighbor shouted for her to get away, she was already on her way as she saw the roof lands directly in front of her.
Coffee said, “I was only thinking about how the roof would decapitate me.”
A fountain of water erupted when the roof broke off the waterline.
A hay bale was launched about 30 feet and several stables were destroyed or damaged. The neighbor’s camper landed inside the yard of her neighbor, twisted.
The gustnado didn’t bother Coffee after destroying the poles on Springer Street.
Coffee covered his arms in goosebumps and cried as he explained, “None were injured.” It’s an amazing blessing.
Home Depot offered some materials to help repair the toilet stalls. An anonymous donor who learned of Coffee’s situation donated cash.
