Eat My Catfish, an Arkansas-based restaurant chain, has announced a reopening for the Breckenridge Village location (10301 N. Rodney Parham Road), which was severely damaged in Central Arkansas by EF3 Tornado on March 31, 2013.
The company’s founder and President, Travis Hester, thanked the team for its support and that of customers during this rebuilding period.
Hester stated that “Ever since the storm, Eat My Catfish and its staff have shown a spirit of unity, demonstrating a resilience which has made the reopening Breckenridge conceivable.” We are grateful for the kindness of our community and the generosity they showed us. We are excited to return to Little Rock to continue serving the community.
Channel 4 KARK reported Wednesday the restaurant would reopen Tuesday, January 9.
In an interview conducted in April, Jim Keet said that Eat My Catfish had suffered the greatest damage out of all of the restaurants at the center. Roof, HVAC, and equipment had to be repaired, as well.
West Little Rock was also affected by the microburst that struck in September, causing delays.
Eat My Catfish’s second Little Rock location opened in June at the Riverdale Shopping Center, 2516 Cantrell Road. The restaurant employees served Central Arkansas tornado survivors and first responders free meals the day before the grand opening.
